ZZVAC®    

ZZVAC®  is another name for the ZVAC®  vacuum die casting technique.

ZVAC was developed in 1990, at a privately owned English contract die casting company, to produce diecastings of extra-ordinary high quality.

ZVAC is now also being used in Canada, USA, China, Iran and Egypt, on a wide range of alloys and machines up to 3,200 ton lock.


ZVAC is being used for making high density diecastings with minimal porosity, and precision products such as:

  • Pneumatic, gas and hydraulic valves
  • Heat sinks for electronics and motor drive controllers
  • Communication handset chasses and frames
  • Automotive components: oil pumps, transfer cases, engine cradles and brake system components
  • Pressure tight components for medical equipment,
and;

die castings which are given extremely critical aesthetic finishes, like chrome and gold plating, polishing, high temperature powder paint coating or with TiN / CrN / ZrN by PVD process, for products like:

  • Bathroom fittings
  • Door handles and furniture
  • Electronic and electrical enclosures
  • Gas cooker burner rings.
And could be used for :
  • Motor cycle engine and frame elements
  • Lustrous metal accessories for the haute couture fashion industry.

ZVAC enables top quality diecastings to be produced with minimal or no porosity or blisters, at very low levels of scrap.

ZVAC can be used with all aluminum, zinc and magnesium high pressure die casting alloys.

ZVAC technique is very reliable, costs much less than retail packaged vacuum diecasting units and machines, and does not have expensive troublesome valves or chill vents on the die.

ZVAC was conceived to solve a difficult porosity problem by using vacuum, while avoiding the well known problems experienced with the traditional vacuum and venting methods used hitherto.
